That realization got me thinking about spring fashion and the pieces i love. I'm always one to unconsciously reach for the same pieces again and again, but i go in phases. Right now, for example, i'm in my cutesy accesorries and outdoorsy inspiration phase. Just last week i was in my camp counselor phase, with skinny jeans, layered shirts, and several pieces that are from various camps themselves.

Anyway, back to spring fashion. My favorite pieces would have to be my rain jacket and my pinstriped denim miniskirt. Something about wearing that skirt makes it feel like spring. Probably because it's a legging skirt, because of it's unreasonably short length, as well as the fact that i own only either ripped, neon, printed, or fishnet tights.
The rain jacket reminds me of an army jacket, which is a piece I've always wanted to own, but i know i would have a hard time pulling off. The main reason i wear the rain jacket so much is that i don't own very many coats for early spring weather. I've got a teal courdaroy jacket from Old Navy that i picked up at Goodwill a few years ago. While i have no doubts that i can still rock it, the level of social acceptance for cheap-looking jackets has dropped considerably. Equally, the level has risen for sporty fleece or sweatshirts and trenchcoats, both of which i own, but am not especially partial to.

I did just get a new fleece yesterday that i like a lot, so that puts me somewhat at ease on the issue of spring coats. That was actually the reason i was out walking with my mom. I needed a new fleece, as well as a second opinion on the one i picked out. We were walking down to the Patagonia store that is somewhat near our house (yes, i still live with my parents.)
Anyway, as far as spring accesorries go, i've been wearing these cheap plastic rings a lot lately. My favorites (as of right now) are the sparkly orange bow, the green heart, and the purple/fuchsia seashell. Unfortunatly, they only fit on my pinkies, but they're cute and brightly colored. My favorite necklace right now is this cutesy blue flower necklace i got for free in the third grade. It came free with one of these princess books where you always got a "special" offer, much like the animal ark books. It's really adorable, an the perfect length to wear with lower cut tops.
I'll edit this post later to attach photos, and (maybe) delete this line.

P.S. I actually have several things, so i'll do a multiple choice.
a) I can't find the orange bow ring. Opps. I look for it more later.
b) I guess the green heart is sparkly, too.
c) for the sake of the outfit i'll eventually post for this, post, i guess, i'm going to wear tights. I don't usually with this skirt, but i feel it's necessary to get the full effect of the black/white
contrast.
